The following RMAEC Cancellation Policy applies to the Asphalt Technician Certification Program (LabCAT) and all RMAEC Education Seminars.

• Registration closes at 2:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to the session start date.  Cancellations or reschedules made after 2:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to the session start date will be assessed a cancellation/reschedule fee which will be $100. If space is available, additional Technicians may be considered for a scheduled session after the Wednesday close date. This is at the discretion of the Training Coordinator or Program Manager.  

• Technicians who do not attend a scheduled session and have not scheduled a qualified substitute, (see program requirements for LabCAT certification) are subject to the full registration fee.  No refund will be given.  

• No refund will be given to a Technician who begins a session and chooses not to complete the session on the scheduled day. A Technician who chooses to leave a session will be considered as failing and will need to retest as previously described in the “Retest Policy”.  

• Please notify the RMAEC at 303-741-6148 ext 154 to make schedule changes or e-mail rmaec@co-asphalt.com. All e-mail changes must be time stamped by 2:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to the session start date. If the time stamp is after 2:00 pm on the Wednesday prior, the above guidelines will be followed.

The following Policy applies to the Asphalt Technician Certification Program (LabCAT) and all RMAEC Education Seminars for cancellations due to lack of participants and weather related issues.

• If inclement weather is possible, registrants scheduled to attend should verify if the course will be held or cancelled. A decision will be made by the RMAEC twenty-two hours prior to the start of the course. Please call the RMAEC at 303-741-6148 ext 154 to inquire about the status of the scheduled course.  

• If a scheduled course has to be cancelled for any reason other than inclement weather, the RMAEC will make every attempt to notify registrants seventy-two hours prior to the start of course.  

• If a course is cancelled, the registration will be transferred to a future course (if one is available).
